Military Medal 'During the attack on the HINDENBURG LINE near NOREUIL on the 2nd/3rd May he exhibited great courage during a bombing attack and stuck to his post when wounded, and kept on throwing bombs with good effect. He helped a wounded comrade to the R.A.P. returning immediately to assist in the bombing. He persisted until severely wounded a second time.'
