Military Medal 'During the attack on POZIERES RIDGE on 4th/5th August, 1916, he assumed command of the Company after all his Officers had become casualties. He showed keen judgement and foresight in the consolidation of his trenches and acted in a manner worthy of an experienced soldier.'
