Left England under auspice of New South Wales government on the "Ballarat" in 1914 and went to a farm school at Wollombai near Lismore. But after leaving home he went to Lismore for his health and was employed there at the 'Stores'. Joined the A.I.F. in 1915, serving in Egypt and France. Fought at Boursres, Fleurbaix, Armentieres, Ypres, Flers and Delville Wood. He died in a hospital at Rouen, and was buried at St Steven's cemetary at Rouen. |
