Military Medal 'Near LE BARQUE, FRANCE, on 25/26th February, 1917, Pte. SPEARRITT, a Company signaller, showed great pluck and devotion to duty, by going out continually during heavy shell and machine gun fire to repair broken signal wires. He also acted as a runner between the outpost line and battalion headquarters, and continually passed through heavy fire without the slightest hesitation.'
