Military Medal 'At BELLICOURT and NAUROY on 29th/30th September and 1st October 1918. For conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty. Whilst working as a Stretcher Bearer he attended to the wounded under heavy Machine Gun fire during the advance to NAUROY on 29th September 1918. And on the afternoon of 30th September 1918 during the attack he attended to the wounded under extreme heavy shell fire. He showed great bravery and coolness under extremely heavy fire on all three days and his example was a very fine one.'
