Medals |
Military Medal 'On 5th April, 1918 South-East of MILLENCOURT (West of ALBERT) for conspicuous bravery and setting a fine example to their comrades at a critical time, when carrying wounded from the R.A.P. situated about three quarters of a mile South-East of MILLENCOURT to the Field Ambulance Post at MILLENCOURT during a heavy bombardment which preceded an enemy attack at about 7 a.m. The carry was a long and dangerous one, and the route almost continuously swept by heavy shell fire. Their example at all times during the remainder of the day was invaluable when quick evacuation was essential.'
