Found guilty, 2 July 1918, of disobedience of orders in that he congregated with the crew in contravention of Routine Orders: awarded 7 days' Confined to Barracks. Disembarked, London, England, 26 August 1918; marched into 1st Training Bn, Sutton Veny, 26 August 1918, and allotted to 2nd Bn reinforcements the same day. Admitted to Group Clearing Hospital, 13 October 1918 (influenza); transferred to Sutton Veny Military Hospital, 16 October 1918 (pneumonia, seriously ill). Died, Sutton Veny Military Hospital, 20 October 1918 (influenza, and pneumonia). Buried, St John the Evangelist Churchyard, 25 October 1918. Medal: British War Medal. |
