Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 7 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 14 June 1916.

Marched out of 4th Australian Divisional Base Depot, Etaples, 23 August 1916, and proceeded to unit; taken on strength of 16th Bn, in the field, 25 August 1916.

On leave, 6 October 1917; rejoined unit, 20 October 1917.
