Military Medal 'Near GUEUDECOURT as telephonist and linesman accompanied Lieutenant OSBORNE on the nights 7th/8th and 9th/10th December, 1916, laid and maintained lines under heavy fire while important registrations were being effected. Their work was most effective and they both displayed coolness and gallantry under fire and considerable resource and determination under trying circumstances.'
