Military Medal

'At MORLANCOURT on night 28/29th July 1918. For conspicuous bravery and devotion to duty. Throughout our attack and capture of the enemy trench system this soldier displayed conspicuous bravery and total disregard of danger. He personally rushed a party of the enemy with the bayonet, killing several. By courage and dash he set a splendid example to his comrades. This soldier has on other occasions rendered very valuable work.'
