Subsequently reported prisoner of war, captured at Reincourt (wounded left leg, broken).

Repatriated to England, 15 December 1918.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Cape Verde', 5 January 1920; disembarked Fremantle, 16 February 1920; discharged, Perth, 25 April 1920.
