Military Medal 'At BULLECOURT on 11th April 1917 this man did splendid work in carrying ammunition and bombs from the advanced Battalion Dump to the Front Line, this had to be done through heavy enemy barrage of artillery and machine guns, although sniped at all the way he did his duty in a splendid manner showing great coolness and courage. When the order to retire was given he carried out a Lewis Gun with great risk to himself.'
