Medals

Meritorious Service Medal

'This N.C.O. has shown conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty at all times, and particularly during the operations the Battalion was engaged in during the month of October, 1917. On all occasions during the fighting he personally conducted the rations for his Company, from the rear area to the men in the front line, and saw them distributed. Through his vigorous action and personal ;supervision, all available supplies of food and comforts reached the men of his Company, who were thus enabled to carry on under extremely trying conditions.'
