Military Medal 'During the operations of 26th/27th August, 1918, East of BRAY, Driver BOYLE was in charge of a pack mule carrying rations to front line. Before he reached the front line the enemy put down an intense barrage, Driver BOYLE slightly altered his course and in face of fire from enemy snipers and Machine Gunners continued his journey. His courage was a splendid example to others of the Pack Troop, resulting in the delivery of rations and ammunition which was urgently required.'
