Proceeded from Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 27 June 1916. Found guilty, 17 November 1916, of being absent without leave from 7:00 am, 10 November to 7:00 am, 11 November 1916: awarded 7 days' Field Punishment No 2 and forfeited 9 days' pay.
