'During the period from February 25th to September 17th, 1918 this Non Commissioned Officer has done consistently excellent work as Battalion Orderly Room Sergeant. His accuracy and thoroughness has been of the greatest assistance in administrative work. At VILLERS-BRETTONEUX, HAMEL, and again at BRAY, often working under very difficult conditions he maintained a very high standard of excellence in his work and his energy and keenness throughout is worthy of high commendation.'
