Military Medal

'For great gallantry and devotion to duty during the operations to the east of YPRES, on 19th October, 1917. He was in charge of a bearer squad which was evacuating wounded from an R.A.P. in the neighbourhood of ZONNEBEKE, over a very heavily shelled track, he worked continuously for nearly 72 hours utterly disregarding all personal danger in the interests of the wounded. on the date abovementioned a call came from volunteers to bring in the wounded.Lance Corporal TEAGUE at once rushed out of the post and under very heavy shell fire dressed a number of wounded and then brought them in to shelter. His promptness and pluck undoubtedly saved the lives of some of the wounded. The gallantry and work of this N.C.O. from 12th/21st October, 1917, is worthy of high commendation.'
