Embarked Melbourne, 11 May 1917; disembarked Plymouth England, 19 July 1917; marched into No 1 & 3 Details Camp, Parkhouse, 20 July 1917.

Proceeded overseas to France, 18 August 1917.

Admitted to No 2 General Hospital, Rouelles, 31 August 1917 (bronchitis); transferred to England, 8 September 1917, and admitted to 3rd London General Hospital, Wandsworth, 9 September 1917; transferred to 3rd Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford, 4 October 1917. Discharged on furlough, 18 October 1917, to report to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 1 November 1917.

Commenced return to Australia on board HT 'Persic', 21 December 1917 (bronchitis and pneumonia); disembarked Melbourne, 12 February 1918; transhipped Melbourne to HT 'Ormonde' for Sydney, and then proceeded overland to Brisbane; discharged, Brisbane, 23 March 1918.
