Found guilty, 28 March 1916, of disobeying a lawful command given by his superior officer, 10 March 1916: awarded 21 days' Field Punishment No 2.

Found guilty, 5 July 1916, of conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline, in that he struck a light on the march, contrart to orders: Admonished.
