'This N.C.O. is Sergeant Cook of the 20th Battalion. His work in organising and supervising the cooking during operations has been most excellent. He has always been untiring in his efforts to see that the troops were provided with hot meals in the front line. He frequently visited the front line and supervised the distribution of the food so as to make absolutely sure there was an abundant supply.'
