Meritorious Service Medal 'For conspicuous good service and devotion to duty during the period 25th February - 17th September 1918. This N.C.O. has always carried out his duties as Q.M.S. Storeman with great thoroughness and ability, and frequently - owing to the absence of the Q.M.S. - has performed the more responsible duties in a very able manner. His service throughout, under often most adverse conditions, has ben excellent.'
