'Before the operations at LE BARQUE, from 25th to 27th February, 12917, Private TODD showed conspicuous devotion to duty as a runner.on several occasions he carried important messages to the front line through heavy barrages. Although ill, Private TODD refused to go sick, and continued to act as front line runner until relief of unit.'
