Military Medal 'Near LE BARQUE, FRANCE, on the 26th February, 1917, Pte. TOOMEY, after working all night, obtained a stretcher, and in company with Pte. FLYNN worked from 5 a.m. until 8 p.m. under heavy shell and machine gun fire carrying in wounded, doing more than the work of a full squad. He then attached himself to another squad, and continued till the following night, when the battalion was relieved.'
