Military Medal 'When in charge of a Convoy of lorries on the evening of 26th September, 1917, No. 1615 Corporal J. TRACY, showed great determination in directing his Convoy, and delivering his loads to a point beyond the Culvert near HOOGE, on the main MENIN ROAD. At the time the road was being continually shelled from BIRR CROSS ROADS to HOOGE, and there was a great congestion of traffic and wounded in the vicinity. On his return, the Corporal mentioned loaded his lorries with wounded at the BIRR CROSS ROADS Dressing Station, and delivered them to the Main Corps Dressing Station near YPRES. The manner in which this Convoy was handled was responsible for the successful carrying out of an important detail, and the safe return to Park of all lorries in charge of Corporal TRACY.'
