Wounded in action, 30 March 1918 (gun shot wound, left thigh); admitted to 9th Australian Field Ambulance, and transferred to 41st Casualty Clearing Station; to 9th Convalescent Depot, Rouen, 1 April 1918; to 11th Convalescent Depot, Buchy, 9 April 1918; to Base Depot, Buchy, 1 June 1918; rejoined Bn, 9 June 1918.

Wounded in action (second occasion), 26 July 1918 (gun shot wound, left hand); admitted to 10th Australian Field Ambulance, 27 July 1918, and transferred to 47th Casualty Clearing Station; to 2nd Canadian General Hospital, 28 July 1918; to England, 29 July 1918, and admitted to Canadian Red Cross Hospital, Taplow, 1 August 1918; transferred to 1st Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, 31 August 1918; discharged to No 2 Command Depot, Weymouth, 21 September 1918.
