Military Medal

'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during operations on 31st August 1918, against MONT ST QUENTIN near PERONNE. Sapper TREVETON was working with section on a footbridge from OMIECOURT to CLERY, which was urgently required for the passage of infantry. Although his officer and half the party were wounded, he stuck to his work under continuous heavy enemy shelling and greatly assisted his Sergeant. The shelling of the bridgehead was extremely intense, the enemy being very anxious to prevent a crossing. Sapper TREVETON set a splendid example to his comrades and showed the most conspicuous bravery.'
