Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During an attack this officer although suffering from fever, carried out his duties with great energy and total disregard of danger. Later, he accompanied the troops in a counter attack, attending to casualties in the open under fire, and setting a fine example of endurance.'
