Embarked Sydney, 17 July 1918, and appointed Voyage Only Corporal the same day; admitted to Ship's Hospital, 7 August 1918 (tonsillitis); discharged, 11 August 1918; admitted to Ship's Hospital, 11 August 1918 (quinsy); discharged, 20 August 1918; disembarked London, England, 27 September 1918. Marched into 1st Training Bn, Fovant, 27 September 1918, and posted to 12th Bn reinforcements. Reverts to the rank of Private, 27 September 1918. Admitted to Group Clearing Hospital, 4 October 1918, and transferred to Sutton Veny Military Hospital the same day (pharyngitis).
