Distinguished Conduct Medal

'For constant devotion to duty and conspicuous gallantry in the field between March last and the 16 September 1918. On the 9 August, at Rat Wood, near Warfusee Abercourt, when a battery line was cut in numerous places by shell fire, and an important message was awaiting transmission, he took the message and a telephone and followed the line through the zone of shelling to where he could speak to the battery. There he tapped his telephone on to the line, and sent the message. Throughout the operations his work was excellent.'

'Corporal TULLY, on the night of 3rd/4th June, during the preliminary bombardment was in charge of "K" Group Battery Telephone Exchange at Cinder Farm, PLOEGSTEERT.
