Military Medal

'East of YPRES on the night of 19th September, Captain TURNER was given charge of right gun which was opeating from No Mans Land. He took over his gun and ammunition through the enemy barrage and when operating his gun was subjected to heavy enemy fire. Throughout the operation he showed great coolness skill and a complete disregard of danger. Later he was partly buried by a shell and upon being rescued immediately gave his attention to the casualties caused by the shell.'
