Admitted sick to Fovant Military Hospital, 10 July 1918 (no further details recorded); marched into 9th Training Bn from hospital, 15 July 1918.

Transferred to Artillery Details, Reserve Brigade Australian Artillery, Heytesbury, 23 July 1918, and mustered as Gunner.

Proceeded overseas to France, 27 October 1918; taken on strength, 11th Field Artillery Brigade, 13 November 1918, and posted to 43rd Battery, in the field.
