'On the morning of the 23rd April, 1918, while a Strong post situated in the STRAZEELE Sub Section was under heavy artillery fire, Private WADESON although blown up by a shell, immediately set to work to rescue men that had been buried during the bombardment of the post. Priate WADESON was badly shaken but refused to leave his post. His conduct greatly assisted to sustain the morale of the men of his platoon.
