Wounded in action and admitted to 5th Field Ambulance and transferred to 3rd Casualty Clearing Station, 6 May 1917 (gun shot wound, right ankle); admitted to 26th General Hospital, 7 May 1917; to England, 10 May 1917, and admitted to 3rd London General Hospital, Wandsworth. Discharged on furlough, 27 June 1917, to report to No 3 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 11 July 1917.
