Military Medal 'On various occasions between 26th March, 1918, and 10th April, 1918, but particularly on 9th April, 1918, west of MORLANCOURT, this man displayed conspicuous courage whilst acting as a linesman. He had frequently to traverse areas subjected to heavy shell fire and the cool manner in which he effected repairs under extremely trying conditions and his continued readiness to volunteer for any task in spite of danger and fatigue, set a high standard of devotion to duty to his whole Section.'
