Embarked Brisbane, 27 October 1916; disembarked Plymouth, England, 9 January 1917; marched in to 13th Training Bn, Codford, 10 January 1917.

Found guilty, 5 February 1917, of overstaying leave from 1 am, 3 February, till 2 pm, 4 February 1917: awarded 7 days' confined to barracks, and forfeited 2 days' pay under Royal Warrant.

Admitted to Group Hospital, 13 March 1917; marched in to 13th Training Bn from hospital, 31 March 1917.

Proceeded overseas to France, 14 June 1917; taken on strength, 52nd Bn, in the field, 4 July 1917.

Admitted to 2nd Casualty Clearing station, 21 September 1917 (pyrexia, unknown origin); transferred to 3rd Australian General Hospital, Abbeville, 22 September 1917; to England, 18 October 1917, and admitted to 3rd Western General Hospital, Newport, 19 October 1917 (trench fever); discharged to No 3 Command Depot, Hurdcott, 14 November 1917.

Marched in to Overseas Training Brigade, Longbridge Deverill, 14 February 1918.

Proceeded overseas to France, 20 March 1918; rejoined Bn, in the field, 12 April 1918.

Died of wounds, 14 April 1918.
