War service: Egypt Taken on strength, Training Regiment, Tel el Kebir, 17 June 1916. Attached to No. 3 Company, Imperial Camel Corps, Moascar, 10 August 1916. Taken on strength, 3rd Anzac Bn, Imperial Camel Brigade, 11 November 1916. Contracted meningitis; admitted to 24th Stationary Hospital, 1 July 1917; discharged to duty, 11 July 1917. Taken on strength, 15th Light Horse Regiment, 1 July 1918. Accidentally wounded (deep wound. middle finger, left hand: hand slipped while opening tin), 4 October 1918 GOC, 5th Light horse Brigade, found that the injury was accidental and that no disciplinary action was to be taken.
