Distinguished Conduct Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry near Amman, on 25 September 1918. This man, when wounded in the shoulder and unable to carry a rifle, seized a revolver and rushed the enemy position with a non-commissioned officer, the remainder of the party being wounded during the operation.'
