Military Medal 'During the operations north west of POZIERES, from 29th to 31st August, 1916, WATTERS was conspicuous for the coolness with which he performed his duty as a guide to all parts of the front line, and later in the absence of his Company Sergeant Major, for the manner in which he kept up a supply of grenades, flares, and water for the front line.'
