'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the advance south of BRAY on 26th August, 1918. Sergeant WEBB was in charge of the gun limbers of his Company. Throughout the frequent moves forward he rendered invaluable assistance in maintaining a supply of S.A.A. and rations to the gun positions under intense Machine Gun and Shell fire. His utter disregard of personal danger acted as stimulus to all who witnessed him.'
