'During the period 26th February, 1917, to date Conductor WELCH has carried out his work very efficiently. His very practical knowledge of stores and establishments and his untiring work and care have done much towards the improvement of the Office work of the 1st Australian Divisional Ordnance. Although kept much to his desk he has supervised the discipline and work of those under him in a very able manner.'
