Appointed Lance Corporal, 19 March 1917.

Found guilty, 18 June 1917, of (1) conduct to the prejudice of good order and military discipline in that he left the train whilst travelling between Varennes and Babaume without permission, 16 June 1917: forfeits Lance rank.

Appointed Lance Corporal, 23 June 1917; promoted to Corporal to complete establishment, 19 September 1917; marched into 7th Training Bn from France, Rollestone, England, 22 September 1917; attached for duty with permanent Cadre of 7th Training Bn, 22 September 1917. Reported absent without leave, Fovant, 18 October 1917; declared an illegal absentee, 28 November 1917; discharged (desertion), London, 1 April 1920, and forfeited all pay owed from, 18 October 1917, until, 1 April 1920.
