Joined 6th Bn, Gallipoli, 6 August 1915.

Admitted to 1st Field Ambulance, Anzac, 2 September 1915; discharged to duty, 3 September 1915; rejoined unit, 4 September 1915.

Disembarked Alexandria, 7 January 1916 (general Gallipoli evacuation).

Found guilty, 21 January 1916, of being absent without leave, 14-21 January: awarded 28 days' Field Punishment No 2, and forfeiture of 8 days' pay.

Transferred to 58th Bn, 17 February 1916.

Transferred to 60th Bn, and taken on strength, Tel el Kebir, 15 March 1916.

Embarked Alexandria to join the British Expeditionary Force, 18 June 1916; disembarked Marseilles, France, 29 June 1916.

Reported Missing, 19 July 1916.
