'Throughout the period February 25th to September 18th, 1918, this Non Commissioned Officer's work as Quartermaster has been of the greatest value, as he has always laboured very hard and with conspicuous success to maintain the well being of the unit in every way, and at the same time to economise in the use of all food, stores and material. He has been particularly successful in his untiring efforts to prevent unnecessary expenditure and waste.'
