Military Medal 'In operations near BROODSEINDE on 11th October, 1917, this man, a Company Scout, did splendid work carrying important messages and guiding various parties to the various posts under heavy shell fire, and on the night of 12th October, 1917, he succeeded in capturing a German and disarming him took him to Battalion Headquarters. His cheerful manner and gallant conduct set a splendid example to his comrades.'
