'At POZIERES, FRANCE, 15th. to 22nd. August 1916, Corporal WILKINSON worked gallantly and untiringly in laying out trenches and supervising their construction under very heavy fire, and on three occasions he guided parties to their work over very difficult ground and through heavy barrages.'
