Disembarked Plymouth, England, 18 February 1917 and marched in to 14th Training Bn, Hurdcott. Marched in to DTLS, Fovant, 3 March 1917; marched in to 10th Training Bn, Durrington, 7 March 1917; transferred to 67th Bn, Windmill Hill, 28 March 1917. Proceeded overseas to France, 25 August 1917; marched in to No 3 Australian Division Base Depot, Roulles, 26 August 1917; taken on strength 38th Bn, 2 September 1917. Wounded in action and admitted to East Lancashire Field Ambulance, 12 October 1917 (shrapnel wound left ear); transferred to 17th Casualty Clearing Station and admitted to 2nd Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, 13 October 1917; Admitted to 1st Convalescent Depot, Boulogne, 23 October 1917; marched in to No 3 Australian Division Base Depot, Roulles, 15 November 1917; rejoined unit 22 November 1917.
