Military Medal 'During operations east of PROYART ON 23rd/26th August, 1918, Private WISH-WILSON acted as Stretcher Bearer and went out on several occasions alone to forward positions, exposing himself and running great risks carrying wounded men on his back. Although badly shaken by the explosion of a shell he refused to leave the front line until he had completed first aid to four or five wounded men and assisted in their removal. After an hour's spell at the R.A.P. he returned and carried on with his duties.'
