Military Cross 'In an opeation against an enemy position this officer displayed great gallantry and devotion to duty. He led his platoon with great dash and ability and rushed a machine gun post, killing or taking the occupants prisoners and capturing a machine gun. He set his men a fine example of courage and determination.'
