Military Medal 'During the attack North of ROSIERES on the 9th August 1918 Private WRIGLEY acted as a runner and did invaluable work maintaining communication. When another runner was caught in the barrage and wounded WRIGLEY went out into the centre of the shell storm, carried his comrade to a place of comparative safety and taking the despatch from him delivered it himself. He worked incessantly throughout the whole operation and though knocked over and badly shaken by a shell carried on and did invaluable work, running on the 10th and 11th instant until the battalion was relieved.'
