Medaille militaire (France) 'Private YEATS has rendered excellent service in the line since the beginning of April, 1918, during which period the battalion has been operating on the front East of AMIENS. On 7th April, 1918, he took part with his Company in an attack on BOIS de HANGARD, when he displayed exceptional courage and bravery. On June the 5th, 1918, in front of MORLANCOURT, during an enemy attack on our lines, he again displayed great bravery in dealing with the enemy. Private YEATS also took part in a minor attack by this Battalion, East of VILLERS-BRETONNEUX on 18th July, 1918, and again in the more recent operations on 8th, 9th and 11th August, 1918, and on all occasions, by his splendid fighting qualities and determination, he has proved himself a fearless and courageous soldier.'
